Undo a changewithout losing work.
Git gives you several ways back. Pick the gentlest one that works.
// the steps
Six steps
01 Stop and lookStop the AI. Run git status and git diff to see exactly what changed before you touch anything.
02 Save what you want to keepCommit or stash the good parts first. Do this before any undo so nothing is lost by accident.
03 Undo one fileTo drop changes in a single file, restore it from the last commit. Other files stay as they are.
04 Undo a committed changeUse revert to add a new commit that reverses an old one. It leaves history intact, which is safe on shared branches.
05 Avoid the blunt toolsA hard reset and a forced push throw work away or rewrite shared history. Use them only when you are sure and have a copy.
06 Commit more oftenSmall commits make every undo small. Commit when the project works, before the next prompt.

A hold, and an undo that keeps your editsLite and ProLite holds the risky git commands until you say yes. Pro adds an undo that lists what the AI changed and restores only those files.

Questions
What if I never committed the work?
Git cannot bring it back. Check your editor local history and the trash.
Revert or reset?
Revert for anything already shared. Reset only for local, unshared work you are sure about.
Can I undo only the AI part?
Only if you can tell which changes are which. Commit your own edits first so the difference is clear.
